Make more of Mother’s Day with a donation to HHA

Do you want to do something extra special to tell your mum how much you love her this Sunday?  Make a donation to HHA in honour of your mum this Mother’s Day and show her just how much you have learned from her compassion and care.

Your ‘living’ gift to your mum will help us continue our work including a maternity and paediatric project, which offers life saving healthcare to expectant mothers in Haiti, where they face the highest rate of maternal mortality in the Western Hemisphere.  Our new Maternity Unit is set to open in April and will provide specialist care to the most at risk women in some of the poorest communities. The unit will have pre and post natal wards for 25 inpatients, delivery rooms, a surgical department for C-sections and other emergency surgical needs, and an ultra sound department.  The unit will provide pre and post natal care, offering vaccinations, family planning, education, vitamin distribution and much more.

We also have a mobile maternity and paediatric programme, taking care into some of the most neglected, and marginalised communities in the North.  

A donation of

£15 is all it costs for a safe, natural birth to take place in our maternity unit

£30 enables two nurses to visit a village and provide education, health check-ups, vaccinations and family planning sessions

£100 would provide a c-section in our maternity ward, allowing a safe birth where complications could otherwise be life-threatening
